Senior Mechanical Engineer:
We are seeking a highly qualified Mechanical Engineer with experience in the fields of failure analysis and vehicle accident reconstruction. A successful candidate needs to have an extensive background in automotive systems and vehicle dynamics with a focus on safety standards and product design. This position will require investigation and engineering analysis of product failures, reconstruction of vehicular accidents and preparation of written reports for clients. Preferred candidates will have testimony experience related to vehicular accident reconstruction in federal and/or state courts.
Duties in this position involve the investigation and analysis of vehicle collisions, product and material failures, and industrial accidents for the purpose of resolving claims and legal disputes. Must be comfortable preparing oral and written reports that document causes of failure, extent of loss, and recommended remediation. Must provide opinions and expert testimony.
Candidate must have strong analytical skills and pay extreme attention to detail. Must have exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal) and be able to deliver presentations to clients for the purposes of both litigation support and marketing. Candidate needs to have a positive personality to interact with both clients and colleagues. Must be results-driven and passionate about solving problems.
Requirements:
- 5+ years professional experience
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering highly desirable
- PE License
- Extensive knowledge of automotive mechanics and systems
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- ACTAR certification a plus
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Advanced skills in photography highly desirable
Mechanical Engineer:
We are also currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer. This candidate report to a professional engineer and will work in the areas of vehicle accident reconstruction and determination of the cause and origin of failures or incidents involving vehicle systems and components, failure and malfunction of mechanical systems and components, machinery systems and consumer products items as well as the evaluation of industrial accident and safety issues.
Candidate’s duties include gathering photographic evidence, conducting investigations to document conditions, and performing literature research. Must possess good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Knowledge of automotive mechanics & systems
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Proficiency in computer and web search
- Fundamentals of Engineering Certification highly desirable
- Good knowledge of photography highly desirable
