Rope Access and Mountaineering Techniques

Knott Laboratory utilizes mountaineering techniques to perform structural condition assessments of high-rise buildings, bridges, towers and steep roofs which are difficult to access via other traditional means.  By using rope access and rigging equipment, our civil and structural engineers can evaluate the structure’s condition, moisture intrusion issues, as well as all of our other forensic engineering services.  In addition to access, ropes allow us to provide these services quickly, safely and with less equipment, which allows us to meet our client’s time and expense budget needs.
