Knott Laboratory, LLC is very pleased to announce the promotion of Ben T. Railsback, M.S., P.E. as the Director of the Mechanical Engineering Department, effective September 6, 2011.
Mr. Railsback’s background includes experience in vehicle dynamics, automotive engineering and manufacturing. Since joining Knott Laboratory in 2000, Mr. Railsback’s continued research into mechanical engineering design, vehicle dynamics and accident reconstruction have led to the publication of several peer reviewed papers with the Society of Automotive Engineers, American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the National Academy of Forensic Engineers. Mr. Railsback also regularly presents educational seminars to forensic engineers, insurance professionals and attorneys, including the American Bar Association and the Colorado Bar Association.
Mr. Railsback has qualified as an expert witness in both civil and criminal courts and testified for plaintiffs and defendants in the areas of mechanical engineering, accident reconstruction and animation.
